Wokingham Waterside Centre provides a high quality introduction to Paddlesport courses that lead to National Governing Body qualifications. We are approved by the British Canoe Union and all our courses meet their high standards.
Paddlesport Start:
Designed as an encouragement award that candidates should be able to achieve in a basic starter session of about 2 hours.

BCU 1* Award:
The 1* is a clear stepping stone to becoming a paddler. Designed as a basic award, the 1* is the level you would typically reach after an introductory course of 6 quality hours on the water.
Cost: Student / under 18’s - £40.00. Adults - £60.00.
Includes certificate.
BCU 2* Award:
An improvement award that helps paddlers to develop fundamental paddlesport skills on flat water. Designed to develop an understanding of how the boat, paddle and water interact.
Cost: Student / under 18’s - £40.00. Adults - £60.00.
Includes certificate.
BCU 3* Award:
This Award is a big step up from the 2* award and will require the candidate to be a regular paddler who wishes to formally establish their ability. Our centre is suitable for open canoe and flat water awards at this level.
Costs: Student / under 18’s - £75.00. Adults - £85.00.
BCU members £10.00 discount. Includes certificate.
